A little bit of history

The St. Sauveur parish was created on August 6, 1855.

In 1880, St. Sauveur had only one road, named ”de l’Église Street”. The first tourists arrived by train in the years 1890. At the end of the year 1920, the snow trains took along many skiers every week-end to the mountains. Professionals, merchants, restaurants owners completed the picture of the village. Little by little a social life took place, and other projects appeared. Along the years, the economic development of the area rest mainly on the tourism industry.

In 1984, les Motels Jolibourg Inc. (old name) appeared on the Principale Street.

Acquired in 2014, by the current owners, the Motel le Jolibourg always improve its image, not only by its external appearance, but also by the comfort of its rooms.

Its solid reputation makes of it a popular place for lodging in the St-Sauveur Valley.
